Machining & Assembly

Capabilties

CONTECH’s cast and machined products are routinely offered to customers as fully-tested sub-assemblies.  A variety of pins, bushings, bolts, gaskets, and other components are assembled by CONTECH and subsequently subjected to leak testing and other performance and quality related tests.

Machining

Machining

Capable of producing products with tight tolerances and true positions as tight as .050mm (.002”) and diameters within .018mm (.0007”); CONTECH machining has experience with various types of surface finish requirements: Ra, Rz, WDc. It utilizes flexible machining centers and dedicated custom built special machines based upon customer needs and production volumes. Three, four, and five axis machining capabilities are used for meeting critical geometric tolerancing requirements, reducing operations, and increasing throughput. Alternative machining solutions such as robotic machining cells are also used to meet specialized machining needs.

Vigorous inspection techniques utilizing both CMM and custom built gages are employed to ensure quality machined parts are delivered. Automated manufacturing cells include machining, part washing, leak testing, etc. The latest cutting tool technology is employed to build quality into each part and reduce cost for the customer.

Lean Manufacturing concepts are an integral part of the machining process from concept to finished product.

Hydraulic fixtures with clamp confirmation, part sensing, and poke yoke devices are used to ensure repeatability and quality.

Machining of aluminum and magnesium die castings is possible through creative CONTECH machining concepts.

Assembly
