CS/LX Suspension Links

Product: Front Suspension Links
Process:  P2000
Alloy/Heat Treat:  356-T6
Application:  Mid-size luxury cars

CONTECH developed this product, in conjunction with the Customer, to convert from aluminum forgings to our squeeze cast process. The safety critical nature of this type of product requires 100% x-ray. Our P2000 casting process allowed for improved product strength and significant reduction in porosity, without sacrificing casting weight.  The P2000 process also allows for T4, T5 or T6 heat treatment to provide strength flexibility, depending on the product requirements. CONTECH received the NADCA International Die cast award for design and innovation.

 Thrust Rod

Thrust Rod

Product: Thrust Rod
Process: HPDC (High Pressure Die Cast)
Alloy:  383
Application: SUV

The Thrust Rod is a Contech designed part which fully integrates a customer's specific performance requirements with a part shape, appropriate alloy and casting process.  The result is optimized performance, quality and value.

 Brake Calipers

Brake Calipers (Inner & Outer)

Product: Brake Calipers (Inner & Outer)
Process:  P2000H
Alloy/Heat Treat:  A356.2 / T6
Application:  High-performance Vehicles

Squeeze cast aluminum brake calipers are the ultimate in performance.  Calipers that are cast, heat treat, and machined by Contech have advantages in both weight and stiffness.  Lightweight brake calipers reduce a vehicle's unsprung mass.  A lighter wheel, which readily moves in response to road bumps, will have more grip over an imperfect road.  For this reason, reducing unsprung mass is sought for high-performance applications.   The rigid caliper reduces caliper deflection, creates firmer pedal feel, and eliminates brake pad taper.
